Community-led Protocols for the Safe and Responsible Use of De-identified and Synthetic Healthcare Text for AI Development (SAFETEXT)
SAFETEXT aims to develop guidelines and protocols for safe and responsible use of de-identified and synthetic healthcare free-text data in AI development. The group will establish best practices to ensure trust and transparency while facilitating innovation in AI and Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies to improve healthcare research in the UK.

Community charter
The group meets monthly to discuss events, which are open to the wider community. These include hands-on workshops to discuss the current legal and governance landscapes, share best practices, and develop, discuss and “stress-test” proposed community protocols.
