DARE UK (Data and Analytics Research Environments UK) will soon launch a new funding opportunity to support real-world research exemplars that use, evaluate and influence new capabilities developed as part of the DARE UK Transformational Programme.
This programme of work will fund short, impactful research projects that demonstrate how new TRE capabilities built by TREvolution and piloted by the DARE UK Early Adopters can be applied in practice to deliver real-world value. Projects must be based in the UK and delivered in partnership with TREs of appropriate maturity.
Projects will be funded for up to 12 months, with a full economic cost (fEC) of between £365,700 and £609,500. UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) will fund 80% of the fEC.

This opportunity is open to researchers across all disciplines and UKRI research council remits. Project leads must be based at UK organisations eligible for UKRI funding. For full details on organisational eligibility, visit the UKRI website.
All projects must also include workstreams on legal, ethical and governance considerations, and demonstrate alignment with UKRI’s Trusted Research and Innovation (TR&I) principles.
