PEDRI public consultation: Draft public involvement and engagement best practice standards for the use of data for research and statistics

Public Engagement in Data Research Initiative (PEDRI) has published the first draft of its Best Practice Standards for the Use of Data for Research and Statistics. If you’re interested in how public data is used for data research and statistics, you are invited to read the draft document and share your thoughts.

Public Engagement in Data Research Initiative (PEDRI) aims to establish and drive forward best practices for Public Involvement and Engagement (PIE) in data research and statistics involving public data to ensure that the views of the public are included in a more meaningful way. To achieve this goal, PEDRI is developing a guiding document called the PEDRI Best Practice Standards for the Use of Data for Research and Statistics.

The first draft of this document provides clear guidelines to support researchers and PIE professionals in conducting meaningful PIE activities in data research and statistics involving the use of public data. These draft standards are intended for everyone involved in conducting data research, building infrastructure, or supporting public involvement and engagement activities.
