The Public Engagement in Data Research Initiative (PEDRI)
PEDRI is a partnership initiative that promotes public involvement and engagement (PIE) in data and statistics by advocating Good Practice Standards for transparency, accountability, and public benefit. Uniting 18 diverse UK organisations, PEDRI aims to enhance the relationship between data practitioners and the public through trust-building, resource development and learning opportunities.

Community group charter
PEDRI works collaboratively on an online platform and meets once annually in an in-person Away Day and quarterly as part of a steering group. Planned outputs over the next year include: 1) a frontiers meeting to launch a funding call for the adoption of the PEDRI Good Practice Standards, 2) public engagement activities with the ONS and NHSE focused on health and economic data linkage, and 3) expansion of the PEDRI Resource Hub and webinars.
