UK Synthetic Data Community Group (Synthetic Data Working Group)
The UK Synthetic Data Community Group aims to foster a collaborative network of researchers, data owners and members of the public to advance the responsible use of synthetic data in sensitive data research. Our mission is to develop governance, standards and open-source tools that facilitate the utilisation of varying levels of synthetic data in Trusted Research Environments (TREs).

Community charter
The group will host several in-person workshops with researchers, experts, data owners and members of the public to gather perspectives and recommendations for developing governance and standards in synthetic data. These workshops will focus on group discussions and feedback to ultimately develop a governance framework for TREs.
