Are you interested in getting involved in conversations about data? Do you want to learn more about sensitive data and how it can benefit society?

DARE UK (Data and Analytics Research Environments UK) is seeking members of the public who are interested in joining the DARE UK Public Advisory Group. As a member of the DARE UK Public Advisory Group, you will work with other members of the public to provide advice and oversight on all aspects of the DARE UK programme and its initiatives from a public perspective. 

As part of this role, you can also get involved in the work of TREvolution. TREvolution is an initiative funded as part of DARE UK Phase 2 to build tools and standards for Trusted Research Environments (secure systems where sensitive data is stored and accessed for research).

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for people who are: 

  • Interested in the use of data for research in the public interest 
  • Motivated to contribute unique ideas and opinions in discussions 
  • Willing to learn all about sensitive data and how it can benefit society

If you’ve never been involved in data research before, no problem! We’re keen to hear from you, as we would like to have a mix of thoughts, opinions, and experiences in the group. We will provide you with the support you need to feel confident in voicing your opinions and contributing to the conversations.
