On Tuesday 1 March 2022, DARE UK held the first in a series of workshops to gather the views of stakeholders in the design and delivery of a more joined-up, efficient and trustworthy national data research infrastructure.
This first workshop was on the topic of ‘Demonstrating Trustworthiness’ and was attended by nearly 60 participants from across academia, research infrastructure services and the public. We presented our working recommendations to UK Research and Innovation on actions that could be taken forward to better demonstrate trustworthiness in the use of sensitive data for research across the UK. We then sought the feedback of participants in breakout discussions to help refine them.
Our draft recommendations are based on our engagement with stakeholders so far during DARE UK Phase 1, including our initial Landscape Review (October 2021) and our Public Dialogue (for which a final report will be published in Spring 2022). Now, we will be using your valuable feedback to further refine them.
