Your views on how to fund and incentivise a more joined-up national data research infrastructure

On Thursday 3 March 2022, DARE UK held the second in a series of workshops to gather the views of stakeholders in the design and delivery of a more joined-up, efficient and trustworthy national data research infrastructure.

This workshop was on the topic of ‘Funding and Incentives’ and was attended by nearly 30 participants from across academia, research infrastructure services and the public. We presented our working recommendations to UK Research and Innovation on actions that could be taken forward to better fund and incentivise a more join-up digital research infrastructure for research on sensitive data. We then sought the feedback of participants in breakout discussions to help refine them.

Our draft recommendations are based on our engagement with stakeholders so far during DARE UK Phase 1, including our initial Landscape Review (October 2021). Now, we will be using your valuable feedback to further refine them.
